The Wes Montgomery Club provides weekly jam sessions mainly focused on contemporary, jazz, and improvisational music. Our aim is to give opportunities for like-minded musicians to perform and connect with each other, with no fees or auditions required to join - just a desire to play good music!
Our group's name honours a man who was dedicated to the art of music, jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery. If you wish to join a musical band with a relaxed light-hearted atmosphere and no practice requirements or nasty conductor, this is likely the club for you at the University of Auckland.
There are no fees required to join, and no prior musical background is necessary either, just a desire to play good music. If you would like to join, please fill out this form.
